This Cookie Policy explains how Stop Settling Universe uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit this website.

It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more about how we collect and use personal information.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that websites can store on your computer, phone or other device when you visit them.

They can help websites function properly, remember preferences and understand how visitors use the site. Similar technologies, such as pixels, local storage, scripts and tags, may perform related functions.
UK rules apply not only to traditional cookies but also to other technologies that store information on, or access information from, a user's device.

How we use cookies

Stop Settling Universe may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- make the website work correctly and securely;
- remember choices or preferences;
- support features such as account access, course delivery or checkout;
- understand how visitors use the website and improve their experience;
- support other optional features or services that we may introduce.

The particular technologies used may change as the website and our services develop.

Types of cookies and similar technologies

• Strictly necessary: These technologies are needed for essential website functions, such as security, navigation, account access, checkout or remembering your privacy choices. Where they are strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested, your consent is not normally required.
• Preferences and functionality: These may allow the website to remember choices you make or provide additional functionality. Where consent is legally required, these technologies will not be used unless you choose to allow them.
• Analytics and performance: These technologies can help us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are visited and how people interact with the site.  Where consent is required, analytics or performance technologies will only be used after you have chosen to allow them.

• Marketing and other third-party technologies: We may in future use technologies provided by third parties to support marketing, embedded content or other features. Where consent is required, these technologies will not be used unless you choose to allow them. Where third-party technologies are used, information may also be processed by the relevant third party in accordance with its own privacy practices.

Your cookie choices

When you visit the website, you may be given options to manage the use of non-essential cookies and similar technologies. You can choose whether to allow non-essential technologies where consent is required, and you can change or withdraw your choices through the cookie controls available on the website. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how certain parts of the website function.

Third-party services

Some parts of this website may be provided or supported by third-party services, such as our website platform, payment providers, video or media services, or other tools we choose to use. These services may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Where required, we will provide information about relevant third parties and obtain appropriate consent before non-essential technologies are used.

How long cookies remain

Some cookies last only for the duration of your visit and are removed when you close your browser. Others may remain on your device for longer. The duration depends on the purpose of the particular technology. Where we control that duration, we aim to keep it proportionate to its purpose.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if the website, the technologies we use or applicable legal requirements change. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date of the most recent update shown above.
